What
greater gift could mankind receive?
For
God to take on flesh and dwell among us
That
we may be re-united to our source
A
connection lost due to the first man’s sin
Despite
being born from a lineage of king and priest
He
loved all, discriminated against none
Despite
Him being God in man
He
lived in total obedience, even to God and man
He
came that the scriptures might fulfilled to men
He
came that sinners may become saints to God
He
came for the oppressed to receive freedom
He
came to die that all may be saved
Unto
Him many that were sick and depressed came
And
by the laying of hands He made them whole
He
was joy and hope even to the bereaved and demon bound
For
the power of The Lord was ever present to heal all
He
is a high priest that can sympathize with our weakness
Though
tempted in all point yet found guiltless
For
our sake He chose to be strong and without blemish
That
He may be a perfect atonement to God for our sins
He
sanctified us by the truth, His word is truth
He
bled and died that we may live above sin
Unto
us He gave the Holy Spirit of God
And
ascended in victory to the right hand of the Father
Oh!
Son of man, Son of God
Your
sacrifice gave me privilege to be an heir
This
shall forever be my song and story
Jesus
and nothing else but Jesus
