Like a boat in a tempest
Have I been tossed around
In my tenet to search for all I want
Amidst mortal beings like me
Peace I sailed for but war I found
In my search for love, I got hate
While I bid for unity, detachment got revealed
And in my quest for truth, deceit I saw
Never did it occur to my feeble mind
That what I earnestly search for
I cannot find amidst mortal men
For their ways are evil like their heart
So, here I am on my bended knees
With my faith and hope directed towards You
Creator and keeper of the universe
For he who comes before the God of heavens
Must believe that He is and able
