Memories

Losing someone so dear can be a big bump

The type big enough to either keep or crash you

While time passes with signs of hopeful recovery

Suddenly a sound, smell or colour brings back memories

Keeping you paused in the moment, lost in deep imagination

While the flashes of time shared together

Keeps streaming right before your eyes, unseen to others

Some give you a smile, some makes you sigh

While some gets you howling like a wounded wolf

Deep Sigh!

Dearie, drop some tears if it’ll help

Scream at the wind if refreshing will come

Take a long walk, if it’ll help burn out the darkness

But in the end, try to stay well and keep breathing

Not for what’s gone, that's causing you to grieve

But for the one’s that care deeply about your existence

Friends and families who would love to keep seeing you

Who may not survive the imagination of your absence

Let alone losing you to the earth you came from

For the ones who see you as a beacon of hope

Who daily draw their strength from your existence

Please, keep breathing!
