Speak Up

Be it a mountain in our way

We need to speak and pray

Is it an obstacle in our street

We need to reposition our feet

Even though there’s a tear in our eye

Judging by the situation of things, we can’t cry

For our strength we’ll need if we must fly

So, come rescue Lord, before our well runs dry

For there’s a woman on the hill

Trying to walk down the steep

Please, direct her feet

So the solid ground she can feel

It’s a lost brother

Wandering aimlessly

Lift up his head Lord

And save him from walking shamelessly

Show us the way to a better day

Hear our words as we pray

For it’s from a grieved person turned prey

In the hands of those who took oath to save
